Conditions We Treat

Happy Feet-4-ALL has established a program for people that are diagnosed with diabetes. In Today’s world diabetes is a pandemic. We’ve identified and established strategic partnerships with DME providers that specialize in managing this chronic disease. Our network of DME companies consists of fully credentialed and accredited DME/O&P providers that proudly wear “The Gold Seal Of Approval” from The joint Commission accrediting body in health care, as well as others. Our goal is to establish a two-way relationship with HealthCare facilities in order to become a strategic partner and accomplish the same mission: heightened accessibility to better healthcare in underserved communities of NYC.

DME plays a crucial role in both limb salvage and wound care. As we know, the diabetic population has the highest risk and complication numbers. Stricken with diabetic neuropathy, increased volition for infections and multiple comorbidities, these patients are an example when immediate care can be provided with DME. A basic and proper diabetic shoes with plastizote inserts prevents ulcerations, blisters, cuts, bruises and over rate of infection. Patients that have deformities which otherwise make it impossible to walk can be given a simple leg and foot brace and starting walking within days. Additionally, anyone who in unfortunate to undergo amputations and surgical procedures in concurrence with Diabetes and Infections will be able to avoid a bed ridden existence through the use of proper durable medical equipment.

Finally, DME is a crucial and fundamental aspect of wound care. Any ulceration that is being treated by serial debridements always require appropriate offloading in order to heal. Otherwise, any retained ground reactive forces that occur with weightbearing will catapult the patient into a recurring cycle of healing, reulceration and infection. DME allows the inflicted foot to be offloaded, boosts healing time, and in the long run gets the patient back on their feet and prevents reoccurrence.

Children and Families

Our Pedorthic Preventative Care Screening Program for Children and Families serves ages 3  and up. We partner with children and families, offering on-site screenings at schools,  community centers, and family shelters. We assess gait, foot alignment, and posture, detecting  concerns early. When needed, we provide referrals to pediatric podiatry, therapy, playful  therapy, and custom orthotics. In addition, we host family workshops and after-school  programs to support healthy movement and foot care. Our mission is to foster active, healthy  development in kids while supporting the entire family’s well-being.

Expecting Mothers

We offer a specialized Pedorthic Preventative Care Screening Program for expecting mothers,  tailored to the biomechanical changes of pregnancy. Grounded in kinesiology, we assess foot  health, alignment, and comfort. During pregnancy, the hormone relaxin loosens ligaments as  the body prepares for delivery, and many women experience flat-footedness both during and  after. With proper custom orthotics and orthopedic footwear, we can help alleviate significant  back pain during pregnancy. When needed, we offer referrals to podiatry, prenatal-friendly  physical therapy, and PDAC-approved fashionable orthopedic footwear. Our program supports  expectant mothers every step of the way.

DOE Educators and Staff

We offer a specialized Pedorthic Preventative Care Screening Program for educators, powered  by our partnership with the UFT. Rooted in kinesiology—the science of movement—we provide  on-site screenings at schools, assessing foot health, posture, and alignment. When needed,  we offer referrals to adult podiatry, physical therapy, and custom orthotics. Plus, we facilitate  access to PDAC-approved, fashionable orthopedic footwear. Our goal is to support educators’  movement, comfort, and long-term well-being as they shape future generations.

First Responders

We offer a specialized Pedorthic Preventative Care Screening Program designed for first  responders. Grounded in kinesiology, we provide on-site screenings to assess foot health,  alignment, and movement patterns. When needed, we offer referrals to podiatry, physical  therapy, custom orthotics, and access to PDAC-approved, fashionable orthopedic footwear.  Our program ensures first responders stay comfortable, supported, and ready to meet the  demands of their critical work.
