Personal Experience & Biography
Dr. Hossain, an alumnus of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, holds certifications in PMSR and RRA. He completed an extensive residency at Jamaica Hospital, renowned for its status as a level 1 trauma center. His residency tenure was marked by his engagement with predominantly underserved communities. In his third year, Dr. Hossain was appointed Chief Resident, reflecting his commitment to ongoing education and mentorship in podiatry.
Raised in the Bronx, Dr. Hossain’s personal experiences have endowed him with a profound understanding of the foot health challenges faced by residents of New York City. His journey into podiatry was catalyzed during his undergraduate studies as a biology major, where shadowing experiences with two podiatrists and witnessing his family’s struggles with foot health issues crystallized his career path.
Dr. Hossain’s approach to podiatry emphasizes preventative medicine. He dedicates time to educating his patients about the causes of their foot-related issues and advises on proactive measures to avert further complications, aiming to minimize the need for invasive medical procedures. His multilingual proficiency, encompassing Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, English, and Spanish, positions him as a versatile communicator, enhancing his ability to serve a diverse patient demographic.
